LMHA Covid Update
Hello LMHA Families,
Recently you may be aware that the York Simcoe Rep division had decided to put a pause on the remainder of this years games leading up to the Christmas break. The Simcoe Region Local League Executive Committee met last night and decided by vote to allow the regions local league associations to continue playing as scheduled. Our Lefroy Minor Hockey Board of Directors held an emergency meeting this evening and also voted to allow Lefroy Minor Hockey to remain fully open and operational up to the Christmas Break. We understand that teams may have had games cancelled due to other associations making their own independent choices to place a pause on their season and those schedule home games will now be converted into practices.
It is vitally important to follow all the health and safety protocols in order for us to remain operational. Please check your emails daily for any school related covid communication (Close Contact Notifications) and follow all quarantine directions. Avoid the arena if anyone attending feels at all unwell. Always answer the online check-in forms honestly and take all personal precautions including mask wearing and hand sanitizing steps. All of us together can help ensure we continue to have an outlet for our players at this time when they need it the most!
We are following the advice and guidance of our Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit and the Town of Innisfil who have both granted us the approval to continue playing hockey until they decide otherwise. We appreciate your continued patience and support.
Hope to see you on the ice!
